Euroboden Offices
Euroboden Offices
The offices occupy the principal floor of the Palais Eger - an imposing Belle Epoque courtyard block built in 1881 for a wealthy timber merchant on Tempelhofer Ufer in city’s Kreuzberg district. Its grand rooms were used for hosting the merchant’s customers, combining living with business. Echoing its past as mixed-use space, the reconfigured interior provides spaces for day-to-day desk-based work and meeting as well as public events and display.
Each of the listed rooms has its own unique features and distinct character which have been carefully restored and sit in contrast with the bold and contemporary additions. These include a two-tone paint scheme recalling the original wainscoting, an engineered stone cladding for all the wet rooms, carefully chosen furniture from antique to industrial and a new lighting scheme. This consists of custom made lamps for the historic ceilings and walls, common office lighting as well as original chandeliers by Carlo Scarpa.
